On Wednesday 1st May 2019 a Waikato Data Portal Information Sessions was held at Hauraki District Council in Paeroa. 20 people attended from neighboring council Waikato District Council, local surveying companies, and staff from Hauraki District Council interested in the portal.
Duncan Peddie, Corporate Services Manager at Hauraki District Council and a member of the Waikato Data Portal Governance Group, opened the Information Session. Anton Marais, from Waikato District Council, walked the guests through the project timeline before Ethan Hohneck, GIS Administrator at Hauraki District Council and Project Manager of the Waikato Data Portal project, gave the hands-on demo of the Waikato Data Portal.
There were a number of valuable questions asked during and after the presentations and discussions flowed after.
The next Information session will be at Waikato District Council where an Information Session in will be held in Pokeno and Tuakau.
